Light Box Project

For the few of you that I talked to about this project, these pictures should help in figuring out what I was building out of PVC pipe. Basically I have a lot of computer crap that I need to get rid of in preparation for the move and to generally make my office a bit more usable. At first I found products on Ebay called "light tents" or "light boxes" which you can buy ready made. Then I found a tutorial by Bill Huber on how to make your own light box with PVC pipe and I based my light box off it. The only real modification I made was that I found a three way connector for the corners with one socket being threaded so I could make the legs easily removable. I also didn't glue any of it together because all it has to hold up is a bed sheet and one sheet of poster paper. So far it is working pretty good although I need to learn more about white balancing my camera to get the colors right. Luckily I know how to fix most of that with picture editors so these are the results.

Squeaker in Blue. One of Newton's favorite toys and one he is annoying me with right as I type.

Jewelry Box in Yellow. A jewelry box which was apparently Tilly's and which Helen has in our living room.

Ethernet to USB Adapter. One of many bits and pieces I need to sell off.

Hard Drive Enclosure. Think monolith.

Hopefully the light box, which cost around 50 bucks to make, will pay for itself with the crap I have to get rid of. I'll be posting most of these items on Craig's List or Ebay shortly. Wish me luck.
